Covid has had all sorts of unanticipated effects on our bodies and minds. Like many, I was cooped up at home wearing out the couch while trying to stay safe. On one of the only days I’d dared venture outside to get some exercise, I had the pleasure of tearing a ligament on the sole of my right foot. That meant months of mandated ‘no exercise’! I’ve finally been allowed to run again, and what better cause to motivate a return to exercise than fundraising for WK?
WK is 58 years old this year. And, has educated over 5,000 students from all parts of the world. As a part of my quest for fitness and in honor of our beloved college, I would like to run 58 kilometers over the course of the last week of October (25th – 31st Oct, 2021). It is no Iron Man, but hopefully a fun target to work towards.
I will be raising funds for the WK Scholarship and Community Engagement programs!
