Our challenge is to raise a minimum of E50,000 to contribute to the UWC Waterford Kamhlaba scholarship program
Introduction:
We have set up this challenge as Waterford Kamhlaba Alumni Parents because of the beautiful educational impact Waterford Kamhlaba has had in the lives of our children. We are all friends and collectively we decided and committed ourselves to do this challenge. In addition, Giving Tuesday a global campaign is being recognised on 3 Dec 2024 and we would like to be part of it through this challenge.
All our children are now at university and we are so grateful for the bonds of friendship they have also formed amongst each other.
We have called it the Prosper Challenge because we want all children to be afforded an educational opportunity to prosper.
Description:
Our goal is to fundraise a minimum E50,000 towards the scholarship program. The founder of the school, Michael Stern was very intentional about establishing a scholarship program that would enable access to education for all, irrespective of social and economic standing. This fundraising campaign is our way of supporting his vision, by contributing towards the
education of students from Eswatini.
Our Invitation to You:
Your support of our Prosper challenge would mean the world to us and we thank you for your contribution. Please click and DONATE guided by your generosity.
With Giving Tuesday very close on 3 December 2024, together we can reach the target!
You are most welcome to share our challenge with others.
Your contribution will be administered by Waterford Kamhlaba Foundation of South Africa.

There are two payment platforms below – Payfast which works best with South African cards and PayPal for international cards. If for some reason the payment platforms fail to deliver for you, please do have a look at other routes for payment which can be found in the link below. The WK SA Trustees FNB account in Johannesburg (South African Bank Transfers) is a possible alternative. If you mention “Prosper Challenge” on the payment the Treasurer will ensure it goes to our challenge!
